Water is life. This is the advertising slogan of the Dubai company that produces bottled water. Here, on the edge of the Arabian Desert, should be nothing but sand, wind and hot sun. This climate is unsuitable for life. Everything here is man-made: futuristic skyscrapers, highways, beaches, canals, parks. A prosperous country where the most daring ideas of modern architects came true. People from all over the world come here searching for a calm and comfortable life. But comfort was created by people who dug canals, built swimming pools, planted trees and installed air conditioners in all houses. Not a single blade of grass grows here without the help of people. If you look down, you will see a water hose under each plant. Without water it would be desert. Because water is life.
